Reaching Your Destiny
Are you where
you want to be?
Are you any closer to the dream God gave you?
Well, what’s the problem? We
all know the definition of insanity—expecting
things to change when we keep doing the same thing!
Think of a remote control car running into an
obstacle, it just keeps trying and trying to go the same way, until you
change
the direction of the car or remove the obstacle. Are
we
like the car, running into obstacles and just spinning our
wheels, not
willing to change our direction?
There are
three reasons why we don’t change, fear, laziness
and lack of knowledge. It is time
to identify which one of these is
holding us back and push through to your destiny.
Fear of what the future may hold can keep us
from moving forward Laziness
is
another obstacle. Let’s face it, change and forward motion takes
effort. Sitting still takes no effort at
all and it
tends to add more baggage to our frame!
The third reason we may not change is lack of knowledge. If we don’t know how to change, how can
we?
We may only have to make a tiny adjustment, but we must if we want
change. The Word of God can combat all
these
obstacles.
Let’s
look at ways from the Word to get back on course and fulfill
our destiny.
First is
prayer. Matthew
7:7-8 AMP, “Keep on asking and it will be
given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking
[reverently] and
[the door] will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking
receives;
and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking,
[the door]
will be opened.”
Second is to
have faith, believe. Mark
9:23, “And Jesus said,
[You say to Me], If You can do anything? [Why,] all things can be (are
possible) to him who believes!” Remember
the account of Joshua and Caleb. They
believed that with God on their side,
they could take the promised land giants or no giants.
They believed and received a reward. All
those who didn’t believe were left behind.
Third,
meditate and practice. Philippians 4:8-9 NLT “And
now, dear brothers and sisters, one
final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and
right, and
pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent
and
worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and
received from
me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of
peace will be
with you.” Meditate—think on your goal, practice the
things you’ve
learned.
Fourth, keep
speaking what you want to see happen. 2
Corinthians 4:13 “We having the same spirit of
faith, according as it is written, I
believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore
speak.”
Fifth, just
receive. Settle
it. 2 Peter 1:3 “According
as his divine power hath given unto us all things that
pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath
called
us to glory and virtue” God has
already given us all things that pertain to life.
All we need is available to us. Just
receive it. Jesus has made you worthy to
receive. He paid the price for whatever
you need to
finish your destiny.
You now have
five keys to help you reach your destination. If
you work these five keys, you will reach
your destiny. However, there may be time
between the answer and the manifestation of what you’re waiting
for to come to
pass. Keep tuning into God.
Keep your ‘channel’ open. Don’t
let static (sin, worry) keep you from
hearing God. Do you want things to
change? Do something different. Increase your prayer, have faith, meditate
and practice the Word, confess and receive the promise.
It is time to fulfill God’s plan for
you. His will is not about us, but about
His Kingdom on earth.
He
is who He says He is and will do what he
says He will do!
